Luxifer was in a promising position heading into the Powercruise 92 Burnout Masters final. Kyle had put on an impressive qualifying performance and was determined to replicate his success in front of his hometown crowd on Saturday night. However, disaster struck when the engine bay suddenly caught fire, forcing Kyle to shut down the car and abandon his chances of winning. After the flames were put out, Kyle restarted Luxifer, but the car experienced two more fires before he managed to complete the job. In true Luxifer fashion, Kyle persevered and finally emerged from the car to a thunderous cheer from the audience. Despite not being able to compete for the win, Kyle was awarded the Crowd Favorite trophy.
